The Washington State Department of Health has adopted a logo and slogan to brand statewide nutrition and physical activity messages and products intended for the general public. Energize Your Life will be used as the main theme for consumer messages about nutrition and physical activity. Why Energize Your Life?
Awareness campaigns contribute to the success of environmental and policy changes, which are the basis of the Washington State Nutrition and Physical Activity Plan. Energize Your Life! Eat Healthy-Be Active is a slogan that was designed as an awareness and outreach campaign targeting people who are most at risk of becoming obese or who are obese. The slogan and logo have been tested with low-income families in Washington, and have received positive responses through follow-up surveys.

Who can use the logo?
The following types of organizations may use the logo and materials:

• Local and State Departments of Agriculture, Education and Health

• Health Professional Organizations and their members

• Nutrition and Health Educators and others interested in promoting health.

• Food Commodity Organizations

• Tribes
   

Where can I use the Energize Your Life Logo?

• The logo is a registered trademark by the Nutrition Education Network of Washington (NEN-WA). As part of the conditions of use, you will be asked how you use the logo. To discuss use of the logo please contact your contract manager.

• The logo can be used on nutrition and physical activity consumer targeted advertising, point-of-sales materials, educational literature and letterheads.

• The logo cannot be used on product packaging.  NEN-WA does not allow use of this logo on packaging because the intent of this campaign is not to endorse any particular item, but rather promote general nutrition and physical activity recommendations.
